Hello, we had a blast decorating the unit today, singing along to J. Groban. (because he's Kirsty's boyf)
It looks like a kindergarten :)

Had 5 dumplings in the entree @ Christmas dinner because the ang-mohs wouldn't touch theirs.
We were SERVED food at our table for once.
There were bon bons & paper crowns & whistles & plastic fingernail-sized chess pieces & tiny tops
& to end the night, i received a myyssstterrrrrriiiiious anonymous parcel: a VERY expensive looking passport holder/wallet & luggage tag mailed from someplace in Victoria

Yesterday I went to see the tabú_standing on the edge of the wilderness show by the nofit state circus. What a fun and unusual experience! Most of the show was in the air, with things going on all around the tent everywhere you turned, and the crowd could just move around wherever they wanted beneath the performers. There were guides telling people when they needed to move to make space for performances on the ground. As always when I see circus shows and acrobats, I was in awe of everyone's flexibility and physical strength and it all made me want to run away and join the circus.
I was vaguely amused on leaving the show at the end and hearing a woman say in a rather haughty voice that she felt it was "a bit seedy" when the whole theme of the show was the darker side of human nature. Though 'seedy' wouldn't be the word I would use. It was more a slightly surreal/dreamy macabre feeling, where I couldn't quite tell what was making it feel that way (possibly a lot to do with the music and slow narration and eye contact between the performers). I like that.

Heyy everyone! I'm having a crazy urge to shave part of my head,..and lucky lucky me my best friend/hair dresser is in town and ready to go to work!
I was walking around today and saw exactly what I want to do. See, it's shaved on the sides and back of the head, but...theres still hair on top, not too long. It's super hard to explain but if anyone has ANY pictures please post them!! |

I havent done a billion things I wanted to do. I havent met a billion people I wanted to meet but oh wells, I guess that's just that. Now I've to get ready to fly back and start uni all over again. Yeah I like uni but I think I like bumming in Singapore more. So many things to do here, so many friends to catch up with. Now my bags are all packed and the only thing I've to worry about is getting through customs. Back to winter. Back to playing ultimate in freeze-ur-butt-off weather (or not). Back to... UNI!
Not looking forward to leaving.
Fortunately for me, the friends will be down before I know it.
eat lunch. shower. check that everything is packed. funan for phone. pick up godma. dinner in airport. go in through gates. feel shit. be in aeroplane. back in sydney before i know it. feel shit. go to bed.
p.s. sorry to people i didnt meet up with. I promise my summer hols will be more exciting. |

I think this could be helpful to quite a few people!
I have a graduated cut that's not super short.
I'm the girl in the middle, drinking! (sorry for the picture, it seems like a trashy one but it's the only one I have that actually shows my length!) Half of my hair is pull back there, by the way.
My question is, what are some cute ways people with hair that length/style wear it? All I ever do is pull it halfway back in bobby pins or a clip or wear it down or completely up. I wear headbands sometimes too. I find that I always love the braids that people do on the front of their heads (like going down the side), but my hair isn't long enough for it. So cute suggestions would be great! Thanks! :) |

I'm looking at Sally's bleaching options, since I simply cannot afford to go to a salon at the moment... whats your favorite kind? The Beyond the Zone radical bleach kit looks nice, but seems overpriced for what it is - what about the Wella cream lightener?
I have this:
This was taken day of or day after I dyed it. Its faded a little since use, but my hair is pretty much a dark, dingy reddish blackish pit of ugly.
and need to get to as white blonde as possible. There is some black in the bangs that is hard to see in this photo, as this was taken in direct freaking sun. I don't care about frying my ends, because I'm going to get it cut (eventually) and will probably loose 2-3 inches anyhow.
I tell you, 9 dollars or less for bleach sure sounds wonderful after being quoted 65 at the local salon. I"m just afraid, having never bleached myself, that I'm going to have all my hair fall out or something. O___O; its in great health and condition though.

| Help with Blonde Chunks |

I absolutely love the way this girl put blonde chunks in her hair, so I decided to go for it. Before I do, I have a few questions.
1) My hair is currently a light neutral brown... it needs to be refreshed a tad bit, so before I put in the blonde I was going to dye it a medium neutral brown. Is it ok if I go to the salon for the blonde chunks the same day that I dye my hair brown? (I don't see any point in doing the brown in the salon and dropping an extra 45 bucks)
2) I'm almost certain I'm going to my stylist for the blonde, but if I don't, any tips on how and where to apply the blonde? I like how this girl kind of applied it to the under layers of her hair so it's not obvious when her roots grow out.
3) ONE last question, would it look stupid if I only had the blonde chunks on one side of my head (one on the under layer of my bangs, and one toward the bottom/side of my head) or should I add a third blonde chunk on the other side of my head to even it out?

Right well, my hair used to be white blonde which I had for around a year so I felt like a change so I dyed it red as all my close friends decided to all get identical hair styles as me. so, I dyed it red and i really liked it but now I am really not liking it anymore! also, all my friends and people I see out who decided to go blonde have now dyed their hair the exact same shade as me so I really want something different.
Like a different colour.
I was thinking about turquoise!
I know its going to be annoying to get this red out now but ive managed to do it before without being too bothered.

Let's get straight to the point: I'm bored with my brown hair. It's been the same way ever since I was in 3rd grade (and I'm a senior in high school now).
When I was a little chillun, it used to be blonde. Then it turned into this boring brown color. I've only put temporary dye in it once to turn it red. Seven to eight shampoos turned into one shampoo and it was all washed out. Oh, and I've put honey highlights in it once. About five years ago so those are gone too.

So... I bleached some sections of my hair about a week ago, and dyed some unnatural colours. I know I know, I should of used something more temporary, but I've gotten bored with it already and it doesn't wash out for several weeks, and I've been wanting to go back to a solid colour. Well, with the different shades from the lighter areas of course but I'm fine with that.
Bottom line is, if I dye over the green and blues will those sections go an awful tinted version of the brown I use or will it work out?

So I had my hair bleach blond for over two years and this summer I finally changed to a darker blond because of all the damage the bleach caused. But I hate the color it has like a green tent to it!! Eww. I was thinking of maybe going darker, but what if I hate it and want to go back to blonde. I thouhgt I'd ask around and see what others think would look good on me. Thank you!!! :)

So I really want to dye my hair red. Bright red.
And there are a couple of ways I can go about it.
I can either attempt to find a box dye similar to what I want, but I don't think that's what I want to do. I can bleach it, then dye it with whatever the kids use for unnatural colors these days (manic panic, special effects, whatever).
What I want to do is use l'oreal excellence creme hicolor in a red.
I'm interested in the top first four colors.
My hair has no dye in it. I cut it all off (the picture below is after it had grown out since january.. that's how short it was).
So I am not worried about it lifting. I just want to know other peoples experiences with this.. and also, how do you go about touching it up? Will it blend in well? I know red fades quickly, so I am afraid when I go to touch it up my roots are going to be more red... and I dont think I can re-dye my entire head with it since it lifts by itself?
This product at one point seems easier than bleaching and dying.. but at the same time more complicated with touching up since you cant just bleach the roots and dye over the whole head..right?
